The foundation services we develop are critical to Alexa's mobile presence, enabling everything from device authentication to enabling new features. Our work directly impacts how customers interact with Alexa across iOS, Android, and other platforms.

Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate will design and develop high-performance Java microservices that power critical Alexa mobile functionality, implementing scalable backend solutions using AWS services. You'll create and optimize RESTful APIs consumed by mobile applications while implementing comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems to ensure 99.99% availability.

This role requires collaborating cross-functionally with mobile client teams and other backend services to define technical specifications and drive architecture decisions. The successful candidate is clearly passionate about delivering experiences that delight customers and creating robust, scalable solutions with exceptional technical expertise in distributed systems.
